Penn State University receives CUPA-HR Innovation Award. Neocase Software, the leading cloud supplier of integrated HR and Finance Service Delivery Solutions, is proud to announce the recognition achieved by its client, Penn State University.

According to Penn State News, the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) recently announced Penn State Human Resources as one of just two recipients of the 2018 HR Innovation Award.  The annual award recognizes innovative thinking in higher education human resources.

“For the past four years, the HR team has worked tirelessly on a holistic plan to establish an HR organization that is positioned to successfully support the strategic goals of the University,” said David Gray, senior vice president for Finance and Business and treasurer.

“One of the most recognizable components of the HR transformation is the new human resources and payroll technology, WorkLion. Since launching in December, WorkLion has been accessed nearly 1 million times, providing employees on-demand service to information and resources.

According to the June 7 article, since December 2017, Human Resources has responded to nearly 24,000 inquiries in WorkLion and, on average, fields approximately 4,300 phone calls per month.

These inquiries and calls are managed and resolved using the Neocase HR platform, comprised of Employee Self-Service, Knowledge Base, Case Management and Business Process Automation modules. Neocase is also integrated with Workday in real-time. Neocase is a certified Workday solution partner,

Employee Self-Service combined with a personalized Knowledge Base enables HR organizations to achieve “Tier Zero Resolution” – delivering the right answer to an employee’s question without involving an HR representative.

Case Management and Business Process Automation enable Human Resources to efficiently manage large volumes of inquiries, and automate much of the transaction work of HR.

These dynamics enable HR organizations to dedicate more time to strategic work – a key to successful HR transformation.

“Our team has worked extremely hard to improve HR initiatives and processes across the University,” said Mary Beahm, interim vice president for Human Resources. “Earning this national award is a testament to our long journey; however, we don’t plan on stopping now. Our team is dedicated to continuous improvement in all areas of HR.”

Continuous improvement is also part of the culture at Neocase Software.  According to Alain Ries, Neocase CEO, “At Neocase, we’re dedicated to partnering with HR organizations in the long term to help them achieve their transformation goals.  Therefore, we’re gratified and proud when a client like Penn State is recognized for its HR success.”
