Job Opening: Technical Support Engineer


Reports Into: Manager of Technical Operations
Location: San Francisco, CA

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer in our San Francisco office. This position is part of the Technical Services team and reports to the Manager of Technical Operations. Satisfied customers are our primary metric!

Job Description

Customer Technical Support
  • Work directly with Neocase customers and Partners worldwide to provide timely and effective resolutions to technical issues spanning the breadth of Neocase functionality as well as underlying third-party platform technologies. (Including Operating System services, Application and Database Servers, network infrastructure, and hardware).
  • Enhance the effectiveness of the Professional Services and Sales Engineering. Do so via participation in scheduled and ad hoc conference calls, technical consultations, and troubleshooting during post-install/pre-configuration.)
  • Interface directly with customers to ensure Neocase implementation pre-requisites for hardware, software, and topology are understood.
  • Communicate defects to Neocase Software development/R&D in France. Help to prioritize resolution to product defects and make these available to customers.
  • Create and publish technical documents in our knowledge base to foster self-help.

Product Quality Assurance
  • Assist with testing/validation of pre-release code received in the U.S. from R&D in France. Includes functionality as well as French-to-English localization issues.

Product Configuration Assistance
  • Perform hands-on configuration assistance to Neocase Professional Services consultants involved in customer roll-outs.

Required Skills:
  • 1-3 years Customer and Technical Support Experience.
  • A Computer Science degree or demonstrable work experience with the following technologies: Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2000/2005, Oracle 9/10, ASP.Net, VBscript, Javascript, XML.

Preferred Skills:
  • Active Directory, Microsoft DNS, Microsoft Virtual Server, TCP/IP.
  • Fluent in French and English.
